Dioceses

Minsk-Mohilev province of the Catholic Church (the Catholic Church in Belarus) consists of four dioceses:

• Archdiocese of Minsk-Mohilev (Archbishop Cardinal Kazimir Sviontek)
• Diocese of Vitebsk (Ordinary Bishop Vladislav Blin)
• Diocese of Pinsk (Apostolic Administrator Archbishop Cardinal Kazimir Sviontek)
• Diocese of Grodno (Ordinary Bishop Alexander Kashkevich)

Nunciature

Diplomatic Relations between the Holy See and the Republic of Belarus were established on November 11th 1992.

Now the Apostolic Nuncio functions are performed by His Excellency Archbishop Msgr Ivan Jurkovič.

History

Christianity exists in Belarus for more than one thousand years and is a part of the rich Belarusian culture. It is impossible to give a short sketch of the history of Christianity in Belarus, so we recommend to apply to the site of the historico-religious magazine Our Faith.
