At the solemnity there were present numerous believers including pilgrims from Vitebsk, Liozna, Biagoml, Glybokaye and other parishes. There came also relatives and friends of the candidates in order to pray together asking God to help them to accept the gift of priesthood with deep faith, strong hope and fervent love, and also to keep constantly in mind that it was Christ himself – the Highest Priest of the New Covenant – who chose them.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by His Excellence Antoni Dziemianko, Auxiliary Bishop of Minsk-Mohilev, together with His Excellence Władysław Blin, Ordinary Bishop of the diocese of Vitebsk. Through putting hands on the heads of the elect and through the prayer of consecration the Holy Spirit was transferred to the candidates for priestly service performance.
The Church of the diocese of Vitebsk has new priests. After celebrating their first Holy Masses in their own parishes the new priests will direct to the parishes of Biagoml, Liozna and Chashniki for their pastoral work.
