On June 22, 2004 in Baranavichy in the church of the Mother of God of Fatima there took place the solemnity during which sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Family received sacred vestments. Two-year novitiate formation was begun by s. Rita Svetlana Holevinskaya, s. Darya dvoretskaya, s. Tamara Tatyana Shabashova. The rite of receiving of sacred vestments, which are the symbol of sisters’ belonging to Christ and the Congregation, took place before the Holy Mass.The period of novitiate will help the young sisters to prepare for serving God and people in Belarus. Asking for the possibility to start the novitiate the sisters wished to learn to follow Christ, to live in chastity, poverty and obedience, to pray and to aspire with all their lives to unity of all people in Christ. Blessed Boleslava Lament is the founder of the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family. She dedicated her life to the matter of unity of Christians and founded the new ecumenical monastic congregation in Mohilev in 1905.

Nowadays about 50 missionary sisters work in different places of Belarus, Russia and Lithuania. The majority of them are young Belarusian sisters.

Renaissance and development of monastic congregations in Belarus give hope for the future of The Catholic Church in our country.
